SAKS SHOE SALON 10022, B BY BRIAN ATWOOD + FNO FUN

 Saks Fifth Avenue on Michigan Avenue held the launch of their new shoe salon 10022 on the 3rd floor. The party also served as the Chicago launch of the new B by Brian Atwood shoe line. The event, co-hosted by Michigan Avenue Magazine, was excellent! Well planned, well executed and a lot of well heeled guests were in attendance. Some of the guests at the Saks Fifth party included:Dusty Stemmer(Brian's mom) Sherrill Bodine, Toni Canada, Steve Starr, Dan Uslan, Tom and Susanna Negovan, Nina Ivon.

Other Fashion Night Out festivities included an InStyle Magazine Maybelline makeover with InStyle National Correspondent Tai Beauchamp. Neiman Marcus had a runway show but the best part of their party was the More cupcake(Red Velvet is a must!). Chanel had cute but low key event launching their new nail colour-Les Jeans de Chanel- created exclusively for FNO. The 900 SHops along with Chicago Social Magazine, Chicago BlogNet hosted Stylist Brad Goreski and Bloomingdales hosted the Playboy Club. NYC PREMIERE & LAUNCHES

NY was the scene of two fabulous parties last night. The premiere of the new documentary "God Save My Shoes" which looks at the intimate relationship between women and their shoes.

The Missoni for Target line also launched yesterday to much fanfare and support from the industry. Guests in attendance included: Derek Blasberg, model Hilary Rhoda, Poppy Delevigne, Byrdie Bell, Karen Craig and Georgina Chapman of Marchesa and many more. More pictures --->>>

GQ MEN OF THE YEAR 2011 LONDON

 GQ Magazine hosted the 2011 Men of the Year award at the Royal Opera House in London. Guests included: Charlize Theron, Bradley Cooper, Mario Testino, Tommy and Dee Hilfiger, Emma Watson, Edris Elba(who celebrated his birthday today), Simon and Yasmin Le Bon, John Legend and girlfriend Christine Tiegen,Gemma Kidd, Nat Rothschild, Tinie Tempah, Dizzee Rascal.

MINI BOOTGATING AT CHICAGO CLASSIC

Mini along with Coors Light hosted a "mini bootgating" event prior to the Chicago Classic game between Hampton University and Alabama A&M University

Though Uptown Magazine collaborated in hosting the event, there was no presence of branding except for magazine on on guest tables. DJ Vince Adams warmed up the crowd before MC Lyte and Doug E Fresh took the stage. Even with the rain coming down, guests enjoyed the show.

If you are a fan of sports and fashion you know the 2 best places to be in September are: The US Open and Fashion week both happening in New York City about the same time. In years past, some fashion shows had to re-arrange their show schedule in order to accommodate Anna Wintour who is a HUGE fan of tennis especially Roger Federer.

 Net-a-porter, their male focused site Mr. Porter and the Band of Outsiders hosted a picnic/movie night event in cemetery! how beyond is that?! WADE'S WORLD FATHER/SON BASKETBALL CAMP

 To kick off the 4th annual weekend-long Wade's World Foundation lineup of events, Dwyane Wade hosted the first Father + Son basketball camp at the Lake Shore Athletic Club today (8/25).  While speaking with the participants Mr. Wade, Jr. emphasized the importance of communication between parent and child. Dwyane Wade's father, Dywane Wade, Sr. was also present and had the opportunity to speak with the participants. He explained that even though he didn't have a great relationship with his son growing up, he's made up for lost time and takes the time to appreciate him. He spoke to the fathers "to do some good things in front of your kids." "It's time for us to stand up and get them away from these streets, educate them to be our future leaders." Mr. Wade, Jr was presented with his Father of the Year award by Roland Warren of the National Fatherhood Initiative The basketball camp was facilitated by ProCamps based in Cincinnati,OH
